More great accolades for two of our Windaroo Lakes Juniors.
Yevin Samarartne and Jackson Love have been announced as two of ten recipients of a 2020 Titleist Scholarship from Junior Golf Queensland. The scholarship sees both boys receive a supply of golf balls, gloves, shoes and other Titleist merchandise.
Yevin and Jackson are now also on the shortlist for a full scholarship from Titleist which will provide them with even more benefits.
The announcement of the winner will be made in a week - we will be sure to keep you informed. In any event this is a wonderful recognition for two of our great young golfers.

What a great 3 days (even with the crazy weather).
74 ladies from around the world took to Windaroo Lakes to play in the ALPG Qualifying Tournament and there were some fantastic results.
A huge congratulations to the winner Robyn Choi from Australia, playing some incredible golf with 72, 68, 70, finishing -9.
Thank you to the ALPG who helped organise this event and to all our members who came down and supported the ladies.
A huge congratulations to Chelsea Murkins who played amazingly to win the “play 9” comp at The Australian Golf Club.
Chels is off to England to play at Royal St George’s in July!

We wish the best of luck to long term member and recently turned touring pro, Nicholas Barney as he plays in his very first Australian Open on Thursday.
I'm sure everyone who knows Nick and has watched him grow into a great golfer will be watching and cheering him on this weekend.
Congratulations to Windaroo Lakes member, Chelsea Murkins who has qualified to play in the “Play 9” National final at the Aussie Open on Saturday 7th December.
As one of the top 2 best scores for 9 holes in Qld by a female, Chels wins 2 nights accommodation, return flights to Sydney, tickets to the Open, $200 to cover transport & meals, tickets to the Australian Open Champions Cocktail reception + a player gift pack!

Paul Fisher Charity Day
An amazing day was had on Sunday 4th August at the Paul Fisher Charity Day with over $25,000 being raised ($15,000 over our target).
This money will help install a lift in the house so Paul can spend time with is whole family.
We couldn't thank our members and community enough. Your support for Paul and his family is truly touching.
We hope this donation can help in some way.

After hearing this tragic news on Friday, we sent out to all our members playing Saturday and Sunday to help us support Jarrod's foundation, Challenge Supporting Kids with Cancer, by wearing yellow and donating $5.
We asked that with every $5 donated, we would then match the overall money raised.
At the end of the weekend, $610 was raised by our members, $50 from Jay and his First Swing kids, and then another $660 donated/matched by us, coming to a total of $1320.
A massive thank to all our members and friends, it's so touching to see everyone come together to show their support with such short notice.

Ladies Clinics - Wednesday and Sunday
Our PGA Professional, Janine Barney has added a Wednesday clinic along with the hugely popular Sunday afternoon clinic.
Ladies, if you are looking to learn to play golf in a fun and social environment, this is the program for you.
This activity is funded by Logan City Council's 'Live Well Logan' program and is only $5 per clinic!
A great opportunity for ladies to get involved in this great game, and we are very excited to see so many women joining in.
