Only 14.5mm of rainfall occurred in August, bringing the total for the year to 438.5mm. The outer areas are very dry now, beyond the reach of irrigation, causing golf balls to roll even further into the penalty areas.

Congratulations to all the winners of the Windaroo Cup. The course was impeccably maintained and the greens were smooth, rolling at an impressive 11ft on the stimp meter. You may have noticed our newly acquired electric roller, which was put to use in the lead-up to the Windaroo Cup. This roller is a valuable addition to the club, and the team is enthusiastic about utilizing it.
With the soil temperatures warming up, we have resumed our regular practice of verti-cutting and dusting the greens. Verti-cutting not only facilitates moisture penetration to the roots but also aids in reducing insect infestations and disease.

As we gear up for these upcoming major competitions, we kindly request all members and guests to avoid practising near the black tee markers to allow the tees sufficient time to recover.
Good luck to all the competitors that are playing in the Club Champs, the course is in great shape thanks to the hard work of our staff and volunteers.
